Szechenyi Baths Interior Pools Video

You can usually see a lot of great photos of Szechenyi Baths and its open air pools (the 3 outdoor pools), however, you may rarely see photos and videos of the Medicinal Baths inside. Let us take you on a short informal tour in Szechenyi Baths.

The video recording below is a visually informative tourist made video inside the Budapest Szechenyi Baths. There is no background music or narrative, just what the eye of the camera sees if you turn around. So just take a look at some of the 15 indoor pools in Szechenyi Baths. What you see are all thermal baths of varying temperature. This is a typical day in the busy life of Szechenyi Furdo during the daytime.

Tips for first timers at Szechenyi Baths: do try both the outdoor and the indoor baths and the thermal spa facilities (saunas, steam rooms, aqua fitness, whirlpool, jets, sun decks, etc. are included in your Szechenyi Baths ticket, what is not included are the extra services like the massage at Szechenyi Baths, the fish pedicure, the facial treatments, and other beauty services). Take a look at the beautiful interior of Szechenyi Baths – indoor pools:

Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions  Dear Guests, before making your booking, please read through the following Terms …

  1. We will be booking tickets for 19th September and will be including massages. I would like to know if there are any places within the baths for eating and drinking and if not can we bring refreshments with us.

Really looking forward to our visit and would also like to know if you can hire robes in advance.

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

Hello Sheena, yes there is a self service cafeteria with hot / cold meals and drinks. You can also bring your own foods and drinks. Please do not bring glass bottled drinks though to avoid splinters in the pool areas.
Robes and towels are best to be brought by guests as the rental process is currently quite slow and under improvement.

  2. Hi.
We are interested to book a ticket for our holiday. Is there any pool for children also?

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

      Dear Rezvan,

      thank you for contacting us.

Szechenyi Bath was opened, the whole bath complex was, and is still aimed at adult bathers. There is not any children pool in the spa.

Children & babies who are not dry and clean yet (being potty trained) are not allowed in the pools, not even with a swimming nappy. This usually applies to children under 3 years of age. Babies and toddlers can come with you to the bath, and stay outside the pool area.

As most of the outdoor and indoor pools and baths at Szechenyi Baths are more than 33 degrees Celsius, which means increased stress for the cardiovascular system of kids, whose body is not fully developed yet to be able to cope with the heat of the bath waters.

More on the topic is on:

I hope I could be of help.

  3. Hello, I would like to know is it possible to use open air pools on 15 of October and how many degrees is the water

  4. Careen Warrington

    Good evening to you,

My husband and I will be in Budapest from 23 to 26 December 2019. We would love to come and visit your beautiful baths. Can we just “walk in” on either the 24th or 25th December and spend a couple of hours there or do you have to book a ticket in advance? What is the price in Euros if we just walk in on one of those days? We are not sure about times as we do not have any plans as yet apart from a Christmas dinner cruise. I look forward to your response.

    Many thanks
    Careen Warrington

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

      Dear Careen,
it is not necessary to book your tickets online, as tickets are available at the cashiers too. However, please note that Christmas time is usually very busy in the Baths, so you might wish to have a fast track ticket to skip the lines at the cashiers. Fast track tickets can be purchased online in advance.
Tickets on the spot are 1-2 euros cheaper than the online fast track tickets.
