Tourists visiting Szechenyi Spa Baths are often puzzled by the various tickets: there are separate prices of entry for tickets with lockers and tickets with cabins. But what is a cabin in Szechenyi Baths and what is a locker? Do you need them at all?

Well, first of all, there are no plain tickets without a locker or a cabin (except for the special bath tour tickets, which entitle visitors to have a short 15 minute bath tour in Szechenyi Baths).
Secondly, both lockers and cabins are for storing your belongings while you are enjoying the indoor baths and outdoor pools at Szechenyi Baths. Lockers are standard wardrobe type boxes with a lock on them (like the ones at train stations or at standard swimming pools). The size of the locker is 120x30x65 cm (1200 x 300 x 650 mm).
Cabins, on the other hand, are smallish changing rooms combined with storage facilities. In a bath cabin, you can get changed privately AND store your items in a safe place.
The cabin comfortably accommodates one person, so if you are a couple it might seem a bit tight, but you can take turns in getting changed (of course, the same applies to families or smaller groups too). As cabins take up more space and ensure your privacy, bath entries with cabin use (or more precisely, cabin hire) are more expensive than simple lockers. If you buy the cheaper bath entries with lockers, you will have to get changed in the women-only / men-only public changing rooms, and then store your bags in the lockers. If you wish to have your own privacy or are shy, cabins are definitely an ideal solution. Regular swimming pool goers will be fine with the lockers we assume.

If two people are coming together will each person need a cabin or can one be shared?
Hello Sara,
all tickets are sold with some kind of storage space.
You can save some euros on buying 1 ticket with locker and 1 with a cabin so you can share the cabin.
Please note that the size of the cabin is like a fitting room in a clothes shop, so you will need to take turns to get changed.
You can store your clothes in one cabin.
I hope I could help.
Hello, are the baths open on 27 December 2019?
Thanks
Hello Nicole,
yes, Szechenyi Spa Baths will be open at Dec 27, however, online sales are stopped for the Festive season.
Please find more about this topic on the link below: http://www.bathsbudapest.com/dec
Hi,
I am planning on visiting in December, there is an option available on the site with the description:
“Private Spa in deluxe ensuit double room (entrance ticket from 9 am to 6 pm for 4 hours, bathrobe, towel, soft indoor slippers, swimming cap, Budapest Spas Thermal shower gel (8 ml), safe box, LED TV, free Wi-Fi, mini bar, BUDAPEST SPAS mineral water)”
I am wondering if I need to buy two tickets for myself and herself or does the 1 ticket for the double room work for both of us? Also are these rooms much bigger than the standard cabins?
I have not received tickets on the indicated email even though I have paid by Paypal

Hello, what is the price of a standard locker ticket from the cashier, on February 6th? We would stay about 2 hours.
What type of massage are available? Thanks
Dear Teresa,
Tickets bought on the spot are about 0,5-1 Euro cheaper, as those are not Fast Track entry tickets.
Please see the massage types here: http://szechenyispabaths.com/massage/
