Szechenyi Baths Cabin

The term ‘Szechenyi Bath cabin’ is used for changing rooms and storage rooms at Szechenyi Baths, in other words the cabins at Szechenyi Baths are private changing cabins, where you can, in your own privacy get changed and store your belongings.

Another option is to use the common changing areas and lockers for your items to be locked up.

Szechenyi Bath Ticket  - Cabin Use
The tickets to the bath can be purchased with ‘cabin use’, or with lockers. The cabin is an extra service on behalf of Szechenyi Baths (plus they take up a lot of room), so the tickets with cabins are approx. 1.5 Euro more expensive than the standard bath tickets. It is up to you if you want to have a more upgraded service at Szechenyi Bath or you are fine with the cheaper bath tickets, which do not include the use of a cabin.

You can also buy your ticket to the Szechenyi Baths online via our ticket agency partner and save some time (not having to stand in the queue, which in summer time can mean 25-35 min waiting before you get to the cashier). Please note that the online ticket costs  1 Euro more than the tickets you can buy in person at the bath.

The cabins at Szechenyi Bath can comfortably take up 1 person, and a bit more tightly even a couple to get changed. However, if you wish to use the cabin as a couple or as a family, we suggest getting changed by taking turns.

You can see the photo of a bath cabin at Szechenyi Baths – closed doors, and what is behind the door. As you can see the cabin is not a spacious room, as it has been designed for getting changed for the pools, not for staying in.

This is how a Szechenyi cabin looks like from the inside (clean, purposeful, nothing fancy, perfect for having your privacy):

Can I Go to Szechenyi Spa Baths with my Spouse? – Szechenyi Bath FAQ

Couples understandably wish to visit Szechenyi Spa Baths together, so for them it is a crucial question if they are allowed to enter the baths together and spend some valuable time in the same bath sections and pools.

‘Can I Go to Szechenyi Spa Baths with my Spouse?’

Yes, you can, all the time, all days. Szechenyi Baths is mixed from Monday to Sunday, from early morning (6am) to the final closing hours (10pm). The coed bath can get really romantic after sunset, when you may have a chance to stargaze from the outdoor thermal baths (open in cold, rainy or snowy weather too!). Mind you, after 7 pm, only a couple of pools are open (most thermal indoor pools, saunas, massage services, etc. are closed between 7pm and 10pm)

What is more, you can even buy bath entries with cabin use, which means that you can get changed privately in the same little room (also store your belongings in the cabin). Mind you, the cabins have not been designed for prolonged stay and are tiny for 2 people, but you can take turns to get changed if you find the cubicle too small.

At Gellert Baths, you can even hire a smallish thermal bath for just the two of you, with a glass of champagne. Of course, this special treat comes at a special price (i.e. it is not cheap to rent your own thermal baths), but it can be romantic and peaceful to have some time privately.
