Szechenyi Bath Online Tickets in Hungarian Forint

You can reserve your online bath tickets to Szechenyi Baths to avoid the queues, and enjoy our fast track check-in service. Warmly recommended for afternoon visitors from May to October, in December, and on the weekends. The fast track entry is from 9 am. Early risers can buy their tickets at the cashier.

Please note that banks of your country may not offer an ideal currency rate for Forint payments (Euros are normally better converted in EU countries). Please consult with your Bank for further advice.

  1. Hey. Will you be open in February ?

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

      Dear Woliegt,
      thank you for your inquiry.
Yes, Szechenyi Baths is open all year round, including the winter months like February (every day in Feb).
Please note that 2020 prices have not been confirmed yet, so online booking is not available yet. Thank you for your understanding.

  2. Hi,
I just purchased tickets, when will the conformation/tickets arrive on e-mail?

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

      Hello Lea,
thank you for letting us know. The confirmation email of your thermal bath products (which is basically the same as your ticket) was already automatically sent to you, to the email address you have provided in the booking form: please make sure to check the spam folder in case it ended up there. At any rate, we have manually resent it again. Please let us know if there should be any further inconvenience, or if you wish to get the ticket sent to a different email address too.

  3. Hi. Do I have to buy tickets for children four and eight years old? Thank you

  4. Hello,

I am hoping to book tickets for Sunday including a massage. I know there is an option to select a preferred time, but what happens if we cannot make the time you suggest? We have a flight to catch!

    Thank you, Emma x

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

Hello Emma, thank you for your question.

I’d advise two things in this case:
first, before making your massage booking we are happy to send you a rough update about the available times during office hours, between 9 am and 6pm (they are gone quickly so the status changes for the updates too).
second, equally important, in this email inquiry and the booking form, please add in the comment what is the very latest hour you can stay in the baths (i.e. when you need to leave the baths to catch your flight at the airport).
This comment helps us to understand that your day for the bath visit is not completely flexible.
Instead of moving your massage hour to a later point, the booking department will then try to move the appointment to an earlier hour, and you will be kindly expected to be ready to make your bath visit earlier.
For example, in your email you can say:

Hi, I’d like to book a massage between 10 am and 2pm as I am leaving the baths at 3pm to catch my flight.
Can you please confirm that there are massage appointments left between 10 am and 2 pm?
If there’s no longer massage, I’m happy to have a shorter massage.

After this, we can send you a short status update (we may inform you that yes, there are some / plenty / only 2-3 slots left and at what hours). Please note that the ‘available massage hours update’ will keep changing over (real) time, so the shorter it takes to complete a booking for your after the “available’ update email details were sent to you, the higher the chance we can realise your booking for the time range of your preferred hours (and before you need to leave for the airport).

If your booking comes through, but the slots are diminishing, and you cannot make it to the actual hours (as the actual hours have been moved several hours away from your preferred hours), AND you send us an email 72 hours before (AND, on top of that, equally helpfully, especially if it is within 72h, CALL the assigned Help Desk number detailed in your massage confirmation min 24 hours before the appointment) we usually offer the following options:
Options Guests usually can choose from (subject to T&C):

      • downgrading to a shorter, 20 minute massage if they are available (these are normally more easily available than the 45/60-minute massages) while getting a partial refund for the price difference between the massages
      • changing the date of a visit to a different day (if the visitor’s Budapest stay allows)
      • changing the location to a different bath, alternating between Gellert Spa and Szechenyi Spa & Baths if the Guest prefers so
      • turning the massage booking into an open date voucher (transferable and valid until the end of the calendar year – Guests will be asked to send us their intended date of visit preferably 2-3 weeks before their intended date)
      • keeping the ticket but getting a partial refund for the massage price if due time was allocated to communicate to us that the massage is not suitable to your needs (the refund is NOT always guaranteed as it is subject to a managerial decision, based on an investigation of the refund claim – e.g. a refund claim can be refused for the following case: it may turn out that we do not hear from the Guest despite the fact that the booking has been communicated to the Guest’s email with the exact hours (‘closest to the preferred hours’ (e.g. 4pm). Close to the appointment time stamp (close to 4pm), the Guest contacts us for a refund saying that the hour is/was not suitable so the massage was not used. At 4pm, just before 4pm, or after 4pm, as a past event, this refund claim would be rejected as the therapist’s time and the massage room rental had already been paid for, and there is no guarantee that it can be sold to a different guest. )

In each case, we strive to find a good / great solution for Guests, but we can only do so, if we are notified in email about a Guest’s decision/ limitations (like flight pressures) in due time, hours, preferably 72 hours, before the massage would take place so that we can arrange alternative hours / solutions to the satisfaction of the Guest but without creating considerable losses to the baths.
We would suggest making an early booking (as early as possible) to get a great slot. Last minute bookings are quite stressful, the least likely to be close to the preferred hours, and the internet may not be so readily available, or there may be a tour in the city of Budapest, the Guest enjoying the sights rather than sorting out a reschedule of a massage.

Sorry for the length of the above information.
We hope you will find it helpful to make an informed decision.

  5. hello, I made a reservation for 4 a week ago. I have been charged but have not recieved the tickets ? when will they come in ?

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

      Dear Daniel,

      thank you for contacting us.
I would like to confirm that we have received your booking, and the confirmation email has automatically been sent to your given email address.
I have now forwarded it from our backup email address.
Please check the spam folder of your mailbox too.
Have a great time in Szechenyi Baths.

  6. Hello, wanted to book online but I noticed check-in for online bookings are only accommodated 9am onwards. What if we want to visit as early as 6am, does it mean we have to buy the tickets at the gates?

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

      Hello Riri,
      thank you for your inquiry.
Yes, if you wish to enter before 9am, you will need to buy your ticket on the spot. In the early hours there are mini queues usually, so there is no need for a fast track ticket in the early hours between 6.00 and 9.00, so the cashier will offer you a standard bath entry.

Thank you for your understanding and enjoy the thermal waters in Budapest city.

      • Hi we have a tikets and we want to have a massage. How we can order tikets?

        • Szechenyi Spa Baths

          Dear Sara,
may I ask if you have purchased your online tickets on our web page? For the email address used for the comment there was no reservation coming up.
If you already have the tickets, and you bought the tickets via a different partner, not through our website, we would suggest trying to buy the massage treatments through the same website.
Currently we can only book massages in advance if the online fast track tickets were purchased here too, beforehand or as a combination with the massages (to make it easier to follow through administratively). Apologies for any inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding.
