Each night, the 3 outdoor and 15 indoor pools of Szechenyi Spa Baths are open until 8pm – from Monday to Sunday, and in all four seasons.

Mon – Sun until 8pm
Note: the staff will kindly ask you to leave the pools by 9.45pm so that the building can close at 10 pm
Yes, that is right: Szechenyi Bath nights with its open air pools open all year round – spending an unforgettable night in the outdoor pools (there are more than a dozen indoor pools too) is one of the best things to do in Budapest, not only in spring – summer – autumn, but also in winter time.
Late night opening hours mean that you can enjoy fantastic night baths in the open air pools, while enjoying romantic stargazing, or just watching from the warm waves how gently the snow is falling – through the warm steam pillow forming over the thermal pools.
Open Air Pools at Night
There are 3 pools of various sizes and temperatures, so you will not feel either too hot or too cold, no matter what the weather is like. The middle pool is the coolest, which is in fact a sports swimming pool, while the two pools on the wings, are natural hot water thermal pools: one of which is cooled down to 33 degrees Celsius and the other is 38 degrees Celsius.

Night Parties in Szechenyi Baths

Almost every month every Saturday night you can join the world famous hip Szechenyi Bath spa parties, known as Sparties, or the rarer and more spectacular peak summer parties called by various names, depending on the theme of a given year, e.g. Water Circus parties, aka Cinetrip sparties.
Sparties are one of a kind all night pool parties in 2 of the thermal outdoor pools in Szechenyi Baths with laser shows, DJ and VJ electronic discos. Typically enjoyed by young people in their 20s, 30s and 40s.
Just like the day time visits in Szechenyi Baths, the night parties are not nude parties, swimwear is compulsory.
Drinks are available at the parties, which take place almost every Saturday night (autumn, winter and spring and summer months too, including the pre NYE Bath Party in December)
I will be at Budapest for a short period, and would very like to visit this thermalbath. I don’t have time to sens my luggage to the hostel, so is there a room in locker to leave my luggage as well?
Dear Rita,
the lockers are too small to hold a luggage, so we would recommend you to buy a ticket with a cabin.
How do we buy tickets online for night entry (7 pm – 10 pm) on a weekday?
Does each ticket have to include a locker or can we buy 1 ticket + a locker and 1 ticket without a locker?
Are the indoor pools open or closed from 7 pm – 10 pm?
Dear Donna,
the evening tickets are not available for online booking, they can only be purchased at the cashier.
There are no tickets without a locker or a cabin.
All pools are open until 10pm.
Hi We have just booked & paid for 2 tickets however not received a confirmation email. Just a Paypal receipt.
Are you able to help. Thanks.
Hi Andy,
it seems there was a typo in your hotmail address in the form (hotnail vs hotmail), and our system put it among the spam emails, sorry about that.
We’ve updated your email address, hope it will be received soon.
