Szechenyi Baths & Pool: Fun Place, Fine Palace

Szechenyi Baths (built in 1913) is the most visited and much praised attraction in Budapest: relaxing, fun, affordable and, at night, romantic. In addition to the marvellous medicinal natural hot spring waters in the 18 pools, there are 10 saunas / steam cabins, several massage therapies, facial treatments, and more.

Szechenyi Spa Baths is in the biggest green park of Budapest, in the City Park, close to a bunch of Budapest attractions. The  Neo-baroque palace was specifically built for hosting Szechenyi Baths as Hungary has been the country of baths (and Budapest the City of Baths) for many centuries: starting with the Roman settlers who built the first spa baths, through the 16th century Turkish occupiers who built many of the famous and revived Turkish baths in Budapest to the 19-20th century natural medical trends that promote aqua therapies and their deeply beneficial effects. The beautiful building of the spa baths is the design of Gyozo Czigler (Győző Czigler) who started to build Szechenyi Furdo in May 1909.

Come and enjoy your time in Budapest in Szechenyi Spa Baths, in a beautiful, richly decorated palace. The perfect place to chill out, to get to know locals, make business deals and fall in love.

  1. Victoria Zakharova

Hello, also wanted to know if it is possible to book 2 lockers and 1 cabin for 2 people? I should book 1 ticket with locker and 1 with cabin?

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

      Dear Victoria,
Tickets can be bought only with one locker or cabin. If you would like to share a cabin, we would recommend buying a ticket with a locker, and another one with a cabin, so that you can share it and store your belongings as well.
      Have a great day.

    • Hi, I have not received my email yet. I have booked Four tickets with towels and cabins

Hi Jackie, There was a typo in your email address provided in the form, we have now forwarded the e-ticket to your email address.
Thank you and have a great time tomorrow in Szechenyi Baths!

If I am going to book online and I want to access into the place at 6:00 a.m. Does it mean that I have to go the previous day to get my pass at the desk or will you give an electronic ticket?

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

      Dear Sebastian,

      Thank you for contacting us.

Online Fast Track Tickets give entry to the bath from 9 am onwards, so you are kindly requested to get your daily ticket on the spot upon arrival either early in the morning on the day of your visit or a day ahead.

We wish you a wonderful time in Budapest!

  3. Do we need towels??

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

      Dear David,
Yes, we would recommend bringing your own, as the entry ticket does not include any towels, flip flops etc. You can also buy or rent towels at the Spa.
      Buy Towel
Bath kits are available either with or without entry included in the package price. Package number 1 and 2 do not include entry to the Spa (while number 3, 4 and 5 do).
If you wish to add a bath kit – without an additional ticket – to your purchase please follow the link below and choose the bath kit of your choice in the drop-down menu in the form: http://szechenyispabaths.com/szechenyi-bath-kit-towel-entry/

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

  4. Do you need foot wear? If so how much

  5. Hello

I am trying to make a booking for Saturday 8 August 2020 but it’s not possible. Are you closed this day?

    Thank you
    Philly

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

      Dear Philly,

Thank you for your comment. Sziget Music Festival will be held this year from 5th-11th August. During this time, no online Fast Track ticket will be sold. During the festival, the city attracts half a million extra tourists, which makes online fast track tickets to Szechenyi Baths and Gellert Spa simply non-fast track and ticket holders are often held back in the – otherwise peaceful and benign – crowds gathering around the entrances.

      Waiting Time
Unfortunately, long queues will likely form in the sun. To avoid the queues the best time to check-in (strongly recommended) is between 9 am and 11 am, or between 5 and 6 pm (not later than 6 pm), depending on what services you booked.

Should you have more questions, please contact us.

  6. Hello,
We are three people but only two of us would like to swim in the baths. Is it alright for the third person to come with us without paying?

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

      Hello Aorati,

      Thank you for question.

Please kindly note that visiting the bath is unfortunately not possible without paying the entry fee. What might be a budget friendly option if you visit the bath later in the evening (from 7 pm) when a 3-hour ticket can be purchased at a lower price than a daily ticket.

In case of booking, please follow this link: http://szechenyispabaths.com/booking/

Have a wonderful time in Budapest!
