Szechenyi Baths & Pool: Fun Place, Fine Palace

Szechenyi Baths (built in 1913) is the most visited and much praised attraction in Budapest: relaxing, fun, affordable and, at night, romantic. In addition to the marvelous medicinal natural hot spring waters in the 18 pools, there are 10 saunas / steam cabins, several massage therapies, facial treatments, and more.

Szechenyi Spa Baths is in the biggest green park of Budapest, in the City Park, close to a bunch of Budapest attractions. The  Neo-baroque palace was specifically built for hosting Szechenyi Baths as Hungary has been the country of baths (and Budapest the City of Baths) for many centuries: starting with the Roman settlers who built the first spa baths, through the 16th century Turkish occupiers who built many of the famous and revived Turkish baths in Budapest to the 19-20th century natural medical trends that promote aqua therapies and their deeply beneficial effects. The beautiful building of the spa baths is the design of Gyozo Czigler (Győző Czigler) who started to build Szechenyi Furdo in May 1909.

Come and enjoy your time in Budapest in Szechenyi Spa Baths, in a beautiful, richly decorated palace. The perfect place to chill out, to get to know locals, make business deals and fall in love.

      Dear Elena,
no problem, we can change the date of your booking.
We will soon send you an updated confirmation email.

  2. We are trying to book spa tickets for 3 people the 23rd of August in the afternoon, but we can´t seem to find any contact number to call to get some information.

we mainly need to know prices, what we need to take and how does the Palm House visit work.
Can anyone help me please? :)

  3. I need to book a massage and entry ticket for 1 person and just 1 entrance ticket for another person. Both for Aug 31st. What is the earliest massage time for a 45 min massage (Harmony or Aroma)?
Can we use the pools first and then head to my massage? What times do you recommend so that we avoid busy times?

    Thanks!

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

      Dear Ana,
the earliest massage hour is 10am.
Yes, you can use the pools before your massage hour too (check-in with online reservation is possible from 9am).
The early hours are usually less busy.

  4. Hi do you open beginning of January (3rd) and do you have hot tub out side in this weather ?

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

      Hi Adele,
Szechenyi Baths is open all year round, every day from 6am to 10pm (except Christmas and NYE). The outdoor pools are also open throughout the year.

  5. I’d buy a ticket for 30/8 but I want to entrance at 7.30 am.
Is it possible or I have to entrance at 9 am?

    • Szechenyi Spa Baths

      Dear Anna,
if you wish to enter before 9am, you can only buy your ticket on the spot. The online tickets are unfortunately not valid before 9am.
