Szechenyi Baths & Pool: Fun Place, Fine Palace
Szechenyi Baths (built in 1913) is the most visited and much praised attraction in Budapest: relaxing, fun, affordable and, at night, romantic. In addition to the marvelous medicinal natural hot spring waters in the 18 pools, there are 10 saunas / steam cabins, several massage therapies, facial treatments, and more.

Szechenyi Spa Baths is in the biggest green park of Budapest, in the City Park, close to a bunch of Budapest attractions. The Neo-baroque palace was specifically built for hosting Szechenyi Baths as Hungary has been the country of baths (and Budapest the City of Baths) for many centuries: starting with the Roman settlers who built the first spa baths, through the 16th century Turkish occupiers who built many of the famous and revived Turkish baths in Budapest to the 19-20th century natural medical trends that promote aqua therapies and their deeply beneficial effects. The beautiful building of the spa baths is the design of Gyozo Czigler (Győző Czigler) who started to build Szechenyi Furdo in May 1909.
Come and enjoy your time in Budapest in Szechenyi Spa Baths, in a beautiful, richly decorated palace. The perfect place to chill out, to get to know locals, make business deals and fall in love.

Hello Davis,

We have emailed you with the lost and found instructions.
Hello!
We plan to visit Budapest in two weeks time. My girlfriend is 3 months pregnant. What are you recommendations on how long it is adviceable to be using the spa?
Also, are there any possible massage treatments that my girlfriend can get when pregnant?
Best regards and thanks,
Brian, Denmark.
Dear Brian,
thank you for your inquiry.
Unfortunately, no thermal bath offers pregnancy massage in Budapest. Thank you for your kind understanding.
Regarding the use of thermal pools:
Pregnant women are kindly asked to consult with their doctor / OBGYN if they can bathe in the thermal waters.
Hi we are visiting the spa next week do you provide towels for us to use. If you could please let me know. Kind regards
Dear Sharon,
yes, towels can be rented inside the Baths, or alternatively you can buy a towel with Szechenyi logo as a part of a Bath kit. More info of Bath kits and booking: http://szechenyispabaths.com/szechenyi-bath-kit-towel-entry/

Good afternoon
We’re arriving to Budapest next week with my 2 years old boy. And I whould like to know if that small kids are allowed in the Szecheniy Bath. Thank you
Hello Iryna,
thank you for your comment.
Szechenyi Baths is free for children under 2 years of age. Babies and toddlers can come with the family to the Spa, but need to stay outside the pool area with somebody, that is they cannot go in any pool.
Thank you for your understanding.
